South Dudley Road, Wonthaggi, 3995. - 057549-15VIC-RTR
Road pavement and seal has failed due to heavy haulage.Full reconstruction from Station St to Alexander Rd and asphalt wearing course. Pavement stabilisation from Alexander Rd to White Rd (Bass Hwy) and primer seal. Kerb and drainage works as required.Total cost of proposed project is $1,159,767
Purnong Road (Rural Road) - 057550-15SA-RTR
Purnong Road contains significant pavement failure, potholes, loss of wearing course, poor horizontal alignment with poor sight distance in areas. The work proposed includes improving the pavement and widening the road by 1 metre. There will be some minor horizontal and vertical alignment improvements. This section of road will be brought to a fit for purpose standard for community access tourist and freight routes.Total cost of proposed project is $984,480
Gap Road (Rural Road) - 057551-15SA-RTR
The current road has a speed limit of 100km/h however in its current condition is unfit for purpose. The existing sealed pavement is 5.9m wide and has severe wheel-rut depressions exceeding 100mm deep. There is also severe longitudinal cracking that is allowing moisture into the pavement and the subgrade. Gap Road is a regionally significant community access road and also a locally important freight route and safety of all road users will be improved by this upgrade. The work proposed to 2.45 kilometres of Gap Road includes a complete reconstruction from the subgrade to seal. The existing pavement has a 5.9m seal with grass covered shoulders. The new pavement will be widened to a 9m wide pavement at 400mm deep. This will be sealed to a width of 7.0m wide. Lane width of the roadway will be 3.1m and 4.1m shoulder of which 400mm will be sealed.Total cost of proposed project is $1,720,000
Blacks Road (Gilles Plains) - 057552-15SA-RTR
The current road contains severe undulation, pavement failure and longitudinal cracking. Undulated kerb and gutters are creating water ponding issues on the road which are hazardous in the wet season. The section of Blacks Road will include a full road reconstruction, excavation of existing kerb , gutter and road pavement and be reinstated with new materials and 100mm of new asphalt will be placed. Kerb alignment will be regraded to minimise water ponding and mitigate future environmental sub-surface movement.Total cost of proposed project is $550,000
Galway Avenue (Broadview) - 057553-15SA-RTR
The current road contains rutting and ravelling. Sections of the road have failed and are potholing. Works are to extend the useful life and service level to ensure its safe use by motorists and the general public. The works proposed include profiling of the existing surface, pavement rehabilitation, kerb and gutter repair and reconstruction and road resurfacing of the 350 metre section.Total cost of proposed project is $212,000
Murtho Road (Rural Road) - 057554-15SA-RTR
Murtho Road's current seal is failing and contains severe cracking, is extremely rough, loose material is forming and is subject to dust. The road is a designated B Double Route and provides for access for a large horticultural area that is rapidly expanding. The 12 kilometre section of road will be resealed and include shoulder maintenance improved sight distance by vegetation control, signage and line marking. This work will increase the longevity of both seal and pavement bringing it up to uniform standard.Total cost of proposed project is $400,000
HAUGHTON ROAD, Clayton South - 057555-15VIC-RTR
Flexible road pavement is in poor condition and has failed for approximately 60% of the roads length; it has extensive cracking rutting and heaving failures. Kerb & channel is greater than 75% disjointed and requires replacing. Drainage improvements and traffic management works will be incorporated into this project.Works involve road reconstruction and shared path construction, and consist of: • 9200m² of excavation for road pavement, shared path, footpaths and vehicle crossings, • 4750m² of asphalt pavement construction, • 4750m² of asphalt wearing course, • 1380m of concrete kerb & channel, • 930m² concrete footpath paving, • 200m² concrete vehicle crossings, • 2000m² concrete shared path, • 260m of drainage 225mm to 525mm Dia. Pipes • associated drainage pitsTotal cost of proposed project is $1,167,063
Diment Road (Burton) - 057556-15SA-RTR
Stage 1 works of this major upgrade will address urgent priority localised flooding issues along this 2.2 kilometre section of Diment Road which is making for unsafe conditions to road users during periods of rainfall. The works proposed include improvement to existing drainage designed to cater for significant rainfall events, installation of kerbing and guttering.Total cost of proposed project is $7,500,000
Rapid Bay Road (Rural Road) - 057557-15SA-RTR
The section of Rapid Bay road contains pavement failure, surface ravelling, cracking, seal edge break and an extensive seal edge drop off. Rapid Bay Road is a regionally significant Tourist and Community Access Route and the work will improve the safety of the road particularly for road users (tourists) who are unfamiliar with the road. The reestablishment / repair of the unsealed shoulders to reduce edge drop off and excessive cross fall. Pavement reconstruction and resealing to the road surface to provide a minimum sealed width of 7.2 metres with localised sealing width around bends. Replacement of substandard warning and advisory signage and guide post installations. Intersection realignment at Lord Road. Investigation to intersection signage at Main South Road in liaison with the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.Total cost of proposed project is $1,200,000
Clinton Road (Rural Road) - 057558-15SA-RTR
