Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Ocean Road (Rural Road) - 057559-15SA-RTR
Ocean Road currently has cracking, pavement failures, severe pavement depressions, poor road geometry and stormwater management practices.The work proposed will include reconstruction of two 3.5 metre wide lanes with a widened carriageway width of 11 metres. Works also include stormwater kerb and channel improvements, slip lanes to safely enter and exit the new aquatic centre facility, footway on eastern side, junction upgrade, and street lighting upgrade.Total cost of proposed project is $3,500,000
Yuendumu-Nyirripi Road (Rural Road) - 057560-15NT-RTR
During mid-January 2015 a severe rainfall event cause major scouring and sand silting on various locations along Yuendumu-Nyirripi road including chainage 60.0Km to 68.0Km measured from oKm(Tanamai Road). In order to supply water for flood damaged reinstatement works drilling a new bore is required in this section.Drilling a new water bore to supply water for flood damaged reinstatement and road maintenance worksTotal cost of proposed project is $158,000
McKimmies Road, Mill Park - 057561-15VIC-RTR
Road is currently of a rural standard in an urban environment. Works required to upgrade the road to a more appropriate standard.It is proposed to urbanise the section of road by providing kerb and channel, underground drainage, on-road cycle paths, footpath (one side) and pavement upgrades.
Katarapko Crescent (Rural Road) - 057562-15SA-RTR
The current road contains rutting, cracking, localised pavement failure and poor alignment in areas. Katarapko Crescent has some fundamental flaws in the design of some corners and provides the only access to the Aboriginal Community of Gerard.The work proposed includes reconstruction, road surface renewal and creation of super elevation to some corners, minor re-alignment to accommodate better vehicle movement and adjacent tree removals.Total cost of proposed project is $130,000
Buckland Road, Springsure Rural - 057563-15QLD-RTR
Existing road creating dust hazard and there is reduced access to emergency health services. During wet weather the pavement creates a restriction for residents trying to access east or west at this location. Also allowing this road to facilitate an all weather emergency landing facility for the Flying Doctor given the remoteness of this location.Construction of a 15m wide by 1.4km sealed surface on the existing road centre line to serve as an emergency rural airstrip to be used by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Kyancutta-Mount Wedge Road (Rural Road) - 057564-15SA-RTR
The current road is unsealed and dust and loose material are problematic making the road unsafe. There is history of road accidents on this road and upgrading to a sealed surface will help reduce the risk of further accidents occurring. The road is a social, tourist and freight route for the region.The 5 kilometre section of road will be sealed with a two coat spray seal to 10 metres seal lane width, the shoulders will be 3 metres with a 13 metre carriageway.Total cost of proposed project is $2,394,240
Elliston Stock Route (Rural Road) - 057565-15SA-RTR
The current road is unsealed and dust and loose material are problematic making the road unsafe. There is history of road accidents on this road and upgrading to a sealed surface will help reduce the risk of further accidents occurring. The road is a social, tourist and freight route for the region. Stage 1 of this project is part of a bigger project to seal the route to Kyancutta-Mount Wedge Road with neighbouring council District Council of Elliston.The 7 kilometre section of road will be sealed with a two coat spray seal to 10 metres seal lane width, the shoulders will be 3 metres with a 13 metre carriageway.Total cost of proposed project is $3,734,600
First Avenue, Claremont, WA - 057566-15WA-RTR
Following 2012 assessment by Opus the road network was prioritised based on asphalt condition, cracking, patches, local surface defects, rutting and traffic counts. The list of roads were then inspected for deterioration since the survey. cost of annual maintenance and drainage problems.
