Minilya Lyndon Road (Rural Road) - 134915-25WA-RTR
There are nine narrow, one-lane cattle grids. Some have faded advanced warning signs - Grid and some have missing advanced signage. Some have corrugated sheeting sticking out into the lane or have star pickets sticking out with no cap. In addition, the cattle grids at SLK0021 and SLK0055 are near to or directly on steep crests with limited forward visibility. Cattle Grid at SLK0065 has exiting vegetation in front of the fencing leading to the gate in front of reflectors on top of the fence. There is a risk that vehicles could fail to give way whilst passing through cattle grids resulting in head-on crashes at speeds causing severe injury. In addition, sheeting metal and star pickets are hazards, which could result in spearing impact to the vehicle. Upgrade all nine cattle grids to allow for safe two way passage design according to Main Roads WA standards. Replace exiting and add new advance warning Grid signs where missing.
