Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Sulwood Drive, Kambah - 121727-22ACT-RTR
Existing road pavement has strength loss for greater than 50 per cent of the pavement. Water infiltration under the pavement due to high levels of rainfall over the last two years has resulted in the strength loss. Sulwood Drive is a B double freight route with an 80kms/h posted speed limit. Heavy vehicles are contributing to the accelerated deterioration of the pavement.Pavement rehabilitation with full depth asphalt within identified locations is proposed with associated drainage improvements.

Safety of the road due to width and issues with overtaking. Allowance for improved access for larger heavy vehicles accessed based on traffic counts.Shoulder Widening & Sealing via application of asphalt widenings to existing unsealed shoulders - to upgrade road standard from current Type 4 to Type 5 (7m surfacing width).Total cost of proposed project is $244,000

Reconstruction of the road due to condition and increased traffic usage. Widening of the road for safetyPavement failure repairs, patching of existing seal and re-seal. Replacement and upgrade of guideposts and signage.Total cost of proposed project is $312,336

Road widening and reconstruction due to significant age of the road and increased use by larger vehiclesWiden and Reconstruct the section from 24.52 - 25.57 (1.05 km) via lime stabilising the subgrade material to 250 deep under the existing pavement with 2% Hydrated Lime, top up the replaced pavement with 100mm of boney gravel and cement stabilise the topped up basecourse pavement layer to 250 deep with 1% Cement - from Type 4 Standard to Type 6 Standard (8m seal width). As part of the works and prior to the reconstruction works, carry out some minor verge maintance clearing and remove spoil to allow for the widening of the carriageway and reshape the table drains. Replace signs and install new Guideposts.Total cost of proposed project is $241,587
Crooks Rd, Merredin - 121755-22WA-RTR
Upgrade to road, to overcome dangerous railway crossing and intersections with abutting roads.Stage 1 Preliminary Works - comprising Geotechnical Investigation and Soil Testing, Pavement Design, Feature Survey, Geometric Design, and Clearing Permit application and sourcing of Gravel Pavement materials.Total cost of proposed project is $162,200
Silos Road (rural road) - 121762-22NSW-RTR
Road has reached the end of its economic life with many failures due to heavy vehicle access to grain silos.Reconstruct and stabilise pavement including widening of pavement to 10 metres and then double coat seal at a width of 8 metres.

Install slow point, raised threshold / horizontal deviation at mid-block location and conflict points (intersections and pedestrian crossings)
Cliftonville Road - Wisemans Ferry Road - MAROOTA - 100379-19NSW-BS
Install w-beam barrier on roadside, install curve alignment markers (CAMs), improve sealed shoulder up to 2.5m on curve
Dights Forest Road - from Funk Road - JINDERA - 100378-19NSW-BS
Install w-beam barrier on roadside, remove sight distance restrictions at intersection
Coach Road - near Benambra Road - GEROGERY - 100377-19NSW-BS
Install full width traversable clearzone, install guideposts with reflectors
