Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

The high use of traffic on this road has resulted in pavement degradation and hazardous driving conditions for residents and visitors alike. Maintainability for road crews has been reduced due to insufficient material.Reshaping of road including the addition of 100mm gravel, reforming shoulders and drains.Total cost of proposed project is $112,482
Tolmie Mahaikah Road, Tolmie - 100923-18VIC-RTR
This part of the road is on a school bus route and is narrow and suffers ongoing maintenance issues including potholing and corrugations. By sealing and widen this section of the road, it will allow for safer access for the school bus and to the school bus stop. This road also accesses the local Tolmie Sports Ground which receives many visitors for various events throughout the year.The works will include road reconstruction and sealing of 780m2 of pavement including removal of inadequate pavement material, placement of new pavement material, reforming of shoulders and drains and sealing and line marking

Booborowie Rd (Rural Rd) Booborowie - 100986-18SA-RTR
Booborowie Rd is a sealed rural connector road providing a north/south connection of the major arterial highways of Goyder Highway and Wilkins Highway. It services the township of Booborowie being the main entrance to the town. Booborowie Rd is a 26m commodity route servicing the highly productive agricultural area producing grain/hay/livestock.A structural assessment has been conducted of the bridge structure with the outcome that the structure can no longer accommodate the required vehicle masses associated with the movement of commodity generated in the area. Council has recently imposed a weight restriction on the bridge of 22.5 tonne effectively stopping all heavy freight movements in the area. The existing bridge structure will be demolished and replaced with a prefabricated concrete structure. The anticipated vehicle loading of the new structure will allow safe unrestricted access to 62.5 tonne 26m B doubles.
Mt Bryan East Rd (Rural Rd) Burra - 100987-18SA-RTR
Mt Bryan East Rd is a category 2 road that has expired due to previous pool quality material used during construction. It is a major commodity route trafficked by 26m length B double vehicles and is a major tourist drive in the area.Mt Bryan East Rd will be reconstructed and re sheeted with better quality local sourced material to a width of 8 metres and a sheeted surface of 150mm.Total cost of proposed project is $326,233
Iron Mine Road, (Rural Rd) Burra - 100985-18SA-RTR
Iron Mine Rd is a category 3 road that is expired due to previous poor quality material used during construction. It is a commodity route trafficked by 26m length B double vehicles.Iron Mine Rd will be reconstructed and re sheeted with better quality locally sourced material to a width of 7 metres and a sheeted surface of 100mmTotal cost of proposed project is $162,094
Edwin Street - 100988-18VIC-RTR
Edwin Street is a narrow unmade residential with very poor pedestrian safety, poor vehicle access, and poor drainageConstruction of full depth concrete pavement, kerb and channel, footpath and stormwater drainageTotal cost of proposed project is $309,770
White Cliffs Road, (rural road) - 100989-18WA-RTR
Road is constructed to a gravel surface and due to increase traffic from tourism, access to a lime sand supply and to provide an all weather access for the community of Horrocks, the road needs to be bitumen sealedBitumen seal road to a width of 7.2metres using 14mm aggregate for the first coat and 10mm aggregate for the second coatTotal cost of proposed project is $953,000
