Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;

Dilladerry Road (Rural Road) - 101974-19NSW-RTR
Narrow formation width of 6m, virtually no gravel remaining in section, no longer a functioning all weather road, but is required to be. George Street and Ryans Road (Salisbury) - 102220-19SA-RTR
The area has a heavy vehicle 2-way traffic flow generated from the predominately industrial area of Greenfields and regular residential area of Parafield Gardens. Because of the existing T junction layout, there are road safety issues for drivers in relation to turning with some ambiguity of which motorists have "right of way".The work proposed to reduce driver ambiguity and improve the existing geometric deficiencies involves the existing T-junction to be replaced with a 3-way roundabout to improve traffic flow.Total cost of proposed project is $880,000

Beach Road (Rural Road) - 102191-19SA-RTR
Beach Road is a popular coastal tourist route between Cowell and Port Gibbons townships with many beach camping sites along the way. The road is currently unsealed and has a large amount of wear from high traffic numbers such as corrugated surface and horizontal curves are substandard with no superelevation, providing a safety risk for drivers. Additionally there is excessive dust which poses an environmental risk to the nearby Oyster Hatchery and sections of the road can be unpassable in wet weather which poses a risk for Emergency Services vehicles not being able to pass through.The work proposed involves full construction of an 8 meter sealed pavement with 1.5m unsealed shoulders, installation of drainage culverts and application of a sprayed seal.Total cost of proposed project is $1,500,000
Gonbung Street, Napranum, Queensland, 4874 - 102251-19QLD-RTR
Road surface is worn and unsafe in parts, particularly near the entrance to the cemetery and as the street joins with Nanum Streetreseal the entire length between Waum Street and Nanum StreetTotal cost of proposed project is $45,000
Lower Denmark Road (Rural Road) - 102139-19WA-RTR
Lower Denmark Road runs from Frenchman Bay Road to South Coast Highway 37 kilometres and is an alternative route for traffic between Albany and Denmark, the level of service is inconsistent along this road with previous upgraded sections to contemporary standards. The road is currently in poor condition.Reconstruction of existing pavement, widen to a 7 metre seal and upgrade drainage.Total cost of proposed project is $373,000
Venns Road (Rural Road) - 102137-19WA-RTR
Gravel depths on this road have diminished.Reshape of pavement, regrade of drainage and 150mm gravel resheet.Total cost of proposed project is $300,000

Townsend Street, Albany - 102073-19WA-RTR
Road pavement is showing signs of distress and failure, no kerbing and poor drainage. Not currently at the expected standard of an Access Urban 2 road. Increased traffic volumes due to the development of aged care facility, commercial and residential development.It is proposed to replace existing pavement and asphalt seal, construct kerbing both sides, upgrade drainage, construct footpath.Total cost of proposed project is $550,000
