Chappell Wheeldon Rd (rural) - 102405-19WA-RTR
This road is a bus route, a series of 4 bends in the road needs to be widened and drainage need to be corrected to suit the new road width. The road is too narrow and result in vehicular conflict when passing. At Straight Line Kilometre 8.11, there is also a floodway that needs to be replaced as its condition has deteriorated beyond its useful life.On the bends, it is proposed to widen the curves to allow safe passage in both direction, clearing of the edges and drainage pipes to be extended to suit new road profile. Pavement will be widen to a 10m profile, embankment to restore the road formation and drainage will be executed. At the flood way location, work proposed is to remove the old structure and build a new concrete reinforced floodway. The new floodway will be 9m wide , 200mm thick and reinforced with steel mesh. These work will ensure safe passage of all the of vehicles in both directions.
Nelson Rd (rural) - 102406-19WA-RTR

The verges will also be cleared and drainage will be cleaned up to ensure good flow of water from the road pavement.the work proposed is to clear the verges and drain to ensure good visibility and water flow. Reform the existing basework of the pavement, widen the pavement where necessary and re-sheet with 150mm thick gravel base material. The purpose of the resheeting is also to bring the level of the road higher to keep it away from the salt water level
