Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Old Grassy Road (C201) (rural road) - 106145-19TAS-RTR
Problem to address is to repair drop offs on each side of the road all the way on both sides to make safe for traveling public. Project goal is to remove hazard and make safe , this road is a major road for stock trucks and tourist cars.Proposed work to be done is to fill drop offs with gravels and cement stabilise and 2 coat bitumen seal to remove hazard .Total cost of proposed project is $140,267
Seal Rocks Road (rural road) - 106146-19TAS-RTR
Problem to address is all weather access for buses and cars. Remove sand areas & mud holes to make safe. Project Goal is make the road safe, improve access for tourist cars and buses to Seal Rocks Lookout in all weather.Proposed work to be done is laying 200 mm gravels, remove soft areas and mud holes, grade and roll.Total cost of proposed project is $57,496
Brook Road (Rural road). - 106143-19WA-RTR
Lack of pavement depth, strength and width.Complete formation widening upgrades, gravel re-sheeting and drainage works.
Pegarah Road (rural road) - 106147-19TAS-RTR
Problem to address is to make the blind corner safer for large trucks. Project goal is to give the large trucks more room to move over to make safe for passing traffic from the opposite direction . road is used by large cattle trucks and is also the main truck route for the sand mine at Naracoopa. There are frequent "near misses" on this blind corner since the sand mine has re-started in the last 12 months. This a rural road with a 100km speed limit.Widen the blind corner by 1 metre. Lay 300mm gravels and 2 coat bitumen seal & cement stabilise .Total cost of proposed project is $31,780
John Forrest Road (Rural Road) - 106132-19WA-RTR

Forde St is a rural connection road to the rural township of Allora; the current pavement is currently failing and severe rutting and stripping was observedThe proposed work include re-tyning the existing surface and stabilize the subgrade using cement and undertake shoulder and drain clearing
Allora Drive, Allora (Rural Road) - 106165-19QLD-RTR
Allora Drive is a rural connection road to the rural township of Allora; the current pavement was observed to be failing and severe rutting and stripping was observed.The proposed work include re-tyning the existing surface and stabilize the subgrade using cement and undertake shoulder and drain clearing
Dalwallinu West Road (rural road) - 106166-19WA-RTR
Road is currently gravel construction, pavement is breaking up due to heavy traffic. Requires upgrading to all weather sealed surface for safety reasons.Reconstruct existing pavement, import gravel to strengthen pavement, waterbind and apply two coat 14mm & 7mm bitumen seal which will provide a 7.0 metre wide pavement with 1.5 metre gravel shoulders
Old Geraldton Road ( rural road) - 106163-19WA-RTR
Existing road is gravel which becomes slippery in winter, dusty in summer, is a school bus route and heavy haulage route. Road needs to be upgraded to a sealed surface for safety reasonsReconstruct existing surface, import extra gravel, waterbind and apply two coat 14mm and 7mm seal 7 meters wide with 1.5m gravel shoulders
