Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Huon Creek Road, Wodonga - 095433-17VIC-RTR
Age related deterioration of sealed road surface has resulted in loss of stone, oxidation of the bitumen, cracking, and isolated areas of pavement failure including roughness and breaking up of pavement surface due to ingress of moisture. Proposed reseal shall form a waterproof barrier to prevent the road pavement from becoming wet and prevent the formation of potholes and shall improve skid resistance.It is proposed to reseal the full pavement area with a 14mm bituminous seal, works will include pavement digouts and patching in preparation and re-linemarking on completion.Total cost of proposed project is $270,000
Hume Street, Wodonga - 095434-17VIC-RTR
Road pavement shows significant areas of failure, including shoving, cracking and potholing. Kerb and channel has displaced and holds water in some places. High maintenance costs associated with ongoing inspection and repair. Road safety associated with potholed and shoved pavement.Road reconstruction, including removal and replacement of 3200sqm of existing old and failed seal, pavement & subgrade replacement as required, removal and replacement of approximately 270m of kerb and channel, remove and replace associated concrete driveway and footpath pavement to match new kerb where required. Reconnect house drain connections and reset stormwater inlet pits to match new kerb. Prepare and place initial 7mm stone seal and 50mm hotmix final seal. Repaint linemarking.Total cost of proposed project is $236,475
Romet Road, Wodonga - 095435-17VIC-RTR
Kerb and channel has displaced, holds water and presents a possible traffic hazard. High maintenance costs associated with ongoing inspection and repair. Road safety associated with protruding kerb and shoved pavement.Road reconstruction, including removal and replacement of failed pavement & subgrade as required, removal and replacement of approximately 415m of kerb and channel, remove and replace associated concrete driveway and pavement to match new kerb where required. Reconnect house drain connections and reset stormwater inlet pits to match new kerb. Prepare and place initial 7mm stone seal and 50mm hotmix final seal. Repaint linemarking.Total cost of proposed project is $147,905

Cook Street, Whyalla Norrie - 095440-17SA-RTR
Cook Street is within the Southern industrial zone and provides access to adjacent industrial sites. The current road surface is showing signs of heavy deterioration and oxidation due to its age and consistent use by heavy vehicles. Cook Street is a gazetted heavy vehicle access route.Council is proposing to remove the existing deteriorated road seal and replace with 45mm think asphalt hotmix overlay suitable for heavy vehicle use.
