Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Bollon-Dirranbandi Road (Rural Road) - 095507-17QLD-RTR
The existing unsealed pavement is subject to degradation over time from the action of traffic useGravel road upgrade to bitumen seal standard from chainage 35.0 km to 46.7 kmTotal cost of proposed project is $1,800,000
North Road, Langwarrin - 095509-17VIC-RTR
Extensive asphalt deterioration is evident along this section of road creating an uneven and rough driving surface. Surface defects including cracking, deformation, roughness and rutting need to be addressed before the road becomes unsafe.Profiling along the length of the road followed by an asphalt overlay to address the road surface defects and restore a safe and smooth driving experience.
Amaroo Road (Rural Road) - 095511-17NSW-RTR
Road needs reshaping and gravel patching.Full formation grading of whole road including gravel patching where required.
South Station Road, Silkstone - 095512-17QLD-RTR
Due to traffic growth along both roads the capacity of the intersection is no longer sufficient. Motorists travelling straight ahead are held up by vehicles turning right. In peak traffic times, motorists will wait for up to three or more signal changes before being able to cross the intersection.The project involves widening of the intersection and installation of designated right turn lanes to improve the flow of traffic.Total cost of proposed project is $4,390,902
Road 7, Yarralin - 095513-17NT-RTR
Road pavement shoulder deterioration has caused extensive fretting of the seal edge. Pavement over existing culvert crossings has unravelled and sunk.Undertake shoulder strengthening and seal edge protection works. Excavate unsatisfactory pavement and replace with stabilised material. Provide 2 coat seal.
Grant Street, Ballina - 095514-17NSW-RTR
Old pavement has failed showing pavement rutting and shoving with significant heavy patching, which requires high maintenance resources, also old and failed stormwater line which requires replacement.Reconstruction of pavement and seal for a length of approximately 100 metres with a seal width of 20.0 metres including parking area, stormwater replacement and rehabilitation, 200 metres of kerb and gutter replacement and concrete medians for parking.Total cost of proposed project is $594,000
Bourke to Hawker Gate Road (Rural Road) - 095515-17NSW-RTR
This section of road requires gravel resheeting and sealing in one area that has sweeping bends.Gravel resheeting of the pavement and sealing of approximately 500 metres of the sweeping bend.
Road 11, Yarralin - 095516-17NT-RTR
Road pavement shoulder deterioration has caused extensive fretting of the seal edge. Stripping of seal throughout length of road.Undertake shoulder strengthening and seal edge protection works. Undertake seal patching.
Carpendeit-Bungador Road, Bungador - 095517-17VIC-RTR
Uneven road surface, failing seal and pavementReconstruct the road improved ride quality, thicken the pavement, stabilization of road pavement.
Fulham Road (rural Road) - 052321-14TAS-RTR
The existing road has a narrow gravel pavement and poor sight distance, it requires high maintenance and has dust concerns for adjoining residents. This is the fourth section of a project that will progressively widen and upgrade the entire road from a gravel to a sealed standard.Widen the existing 5 metre gravel road to a 8 metre pavement with a 7 metre bitumen sprayed seal. Remove vegetation and cut down roadside ground levels around bends to further improve driver visability. The upgraded road will generally follow the existing centreline alignment.Total cost of proposed project is $301,140
