Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

North Lake Grace-Karlgarin Rd (Rural Road) - 095836-17WA-RTR
Formation of road dangers with tight curves that is a danger to heavy vehicles, lack of drainage culverts, flood way to be upgraded, and other drainage to sides of road, delineation and signage to be up graded and replaced where required, remove and control vegetation where required.Reconstruct new portion of road to make curves suitable for heavy vehicles to transverse the section of road to be upgraded, removal of vegetation, cut new drains, back slopes and off shoots to each side of road, install and repair culverts and headwalls where required, lengthen floodway to allow the correct drainage runoff, install all signage to meet Main Roads specifications.Total cost of proposed project is $447,628
Pindari Road, City Beach - 095838-17WA-RTR
Road surface is 41 years old and badly crackedMill off existing surface and reseal with asphalt.Total cost of proposed project is $97,435
Elimatta Way, City Beach - 095839-17WA-RTR
Road surface is 44 years old and badly cracked.Mill off existing surface and reseal with asphalt.Total cost of proposed project is $57,481
Merrywinebone Road RR329 (rural road) - 052352-14NSW-RTR
Geotextile pavement that is badly rutted and corrugated in outer wheel paths and is un-trafficable during wet weather and hazardous during harvest season.Reconstruction and sealing with 200mm thick Gravel in various spots with width of 2m.Total cost of proposed project is $398,000
Sandy Creek Road, Charters Towers - 095840-17QLD-RTR
The floodway has deteriorated to end of life. Road is impassable in heavy rain.Replace the existing floodway with a series of culverts to raise the road running surface.Total cost of proposed project is $330,992
Gordon Street Coffs Harbour - 095842-17NSW-RTR
Pavement is rough and deformed with rutting and pot holes evident.Mill out 100mm of existing pavement & fill with asphalt. (AC20 @ 60mm bottom, AC14A15E @ 40mm wearing - Approx 4150m2). Re-line mark once asphalt works have been completed.
Parer Road, Airport West - 095850-17VIC-RTR
Road surface is cracked and deterioratedRemove existing crushed rock and asphalt road pavement and replace with new asphalt road pavementTotal cost of proposed project is $380,000
Hume Street, Wodonga - 095851-17VIC-RTR
Road pavement shows significant areas of failure, including shoving, cracking and potholing. Kerb and channel has displaced and holds water in some places. High maintenance costs associated with ongoing inspection and repair. Road safety associated with potholed and shoved pavement.Road reconstruction, including removal and replacement of 3980sqm of existing old and failed seal, pavement & subgrade replacement as required, removal and replacement of approximately 390m of kerb and channel, remove and replace associated concrete driveway and footpath pavement to match new kerb where required. Reconnect house drain connections and reset stormwater inlet pits to match new kerb. Prepare and place initial 7mm stone seal and 50mm hotmix final seal. Repaint linemarking.Total cost of proposed project is $305,756
Spring Gully Road, Wodonga - 095852-17VIC-RTR
Age related deterioration of sealed road surface has resulted in loss of stone, oxidation of the bitumen, cracking, and isolated areas of pavement failure including roughness and breaking up of pavement surface due to ingress of moisture. Proposed reseal shall form a waterproof barrier to prevent the road pavement from becoming wet and prevent the formation of potholes and shall improve skid resistance.It is proposed to reseal the full pavement area with a 14mm bituminous seal, works will include pavement digouts and patching in preparation and re-linemarking on completion.Total cost of proposed project is $150,000
