Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Poor standard gravel road, gravel worn away on bends causing a safety issueReconstruct and resheet gravel, improve bends in road to eliminate the safety hazard

Road requires re-sheeting and formation with improvements to off road drainage which is currently causing this section of road to become inundatedImprovement to shape and sheeting to provide an improved surface which will aid in drainage. The majority of the work will be to improve the off road drainage to allow water to drain from the area correctly and not cause localised floodingTotal cost of proposed project is $90,127
Sutherland Street, Derby, - 096398-17WA-RTR
Road surface has deteriorated and allowed water to enter pavement through potholes and crocodile cracking. Several issues in this section of road with off drainage and water ingress into the road through ground water.Reconstruct road surface with additional improvements to drainage including the installation of additional culverts.Total cost of proposed project is $1,505,000
Frew Street, Thargomindah - 096719-17QLD-RTR
Urban roads within the township of Thargomindah have inadequate drainage with stormwater from heavy rainfall ponding across roadways and footpaths throughout town during heavy rainfall. Ponded water causes a safety hazard to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic through town.Council has a staged plan to install a drainage network throughout the Thargomindah Township. Stage 2 includes construction of a trunk drain line on Frew St, including gully traps, pavement and concrete kerb and channel works.Total cost of proposed project is $2,064,067
Stanley Street, Mount Isa, 4825 - 096717-17QLD-RTR
Pavement defects such as; bitumen cracking, potholes, pavement corrugation and uneven surfaces.Pavement Rehabilitation work and (2) coats bitumen seal.
Para Road, Tanunda - 096720-17SA-RTR
This section of road is a sealed road at the end of its useful life with identified access and stormwater issues.New underground stormwater system for entire length, install new Kerb & Gutter on northern size, increase width of road from 7.0m to 8.5m and asphalt reseal entire length of project.Total cost of proposed project is $609,533
