Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Sargent Parade, Bellevue Heights - 098042-18SA-RTR
Sargent Parade, from Shepherds Hill Road to Eve Road, has been identified for rehabilitation. The road is 717m in length and has an average width of 9m. The existing seal and pavement are both showing significant signs of distress, with multiple failed areas present. Sargent Parade is a local collector road and has an average vehicle traffic volume of between 2,000 and 3,000 vehicles per day.It is proposed to replace the road seal and pavement with a deep lift asphalt pavement followed by a 40mm asphalt seal. Some minor kerb renewal, inclusive of spoon drains, will be included in the project.

Kenilworth Road, Parkside .SA - 098141-18SA-RTR
Road condition has been very poor for a number of years. Stage 1 reseal of Kenilworth Rd from Glen Osmond Rd to Fuller St was undertaken in the 2017-2018 financial year. Remainder of Kenilworth Rd from Fuller St through to Wattle St will be resealed this year, with kerb patching/maintenance carried out prior where kerb is lifted and/or water pooling occurs. Road is at the end of its useful life and has a number of defects such as potholing, surface cracking, pavement failure (crocodile cracking), rutting, etc. As stated above there is significant kerbing repair works also required prior to the reseal particularly around trees and in other locations where the kerbing is failing.Proposed works are to replace the failing sections of kerb, followed by a profile and reseal of the road. Exact reseal treatment not yet determined – may require areas of deeplift where the underlying pavement is failing.Total cost of proposed project is $350,000
Quarry Road (Rural Road) - 097983-18SA-RTR
Insufficient road base material remaining, poor drainage and rough driving conditions for motorists. Poor material used in previous resheeting.Resheeting the road surface at a pavement thickness of 100mm with crushed limestone rubble sourced from a local quarry.
