Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

Darkan Moodiarrup Road, locality of Mokup, - 097954-18WA-RTR
The existing seal has stripped and section of the road have sunk due to traffic load.Improve drainage, reconstruct and seal
Kuringup Road, Nyabing - 097801-18WA-RTR
This particular road is a school bus route and is being improved for safety reasons. In addition this is a main feeder road for grain haulage and tourism and has significant traffic all year round. The road is single lane only and is dangerous during wet weather and peak harvest periods. The prime reason for upgrade is safety.Clear and widen to 12m drain width, improve drainage where required, reconstruct existing seal, stabilise and seal to 7m wide.
Nyabing South Road, Nyabing - 097835-18WA-RTR
This particular road is a school bus route and is being improved for safety reasons. In addition this is a main feeder road for grain haulage and tourism and has significant traffic all year round. The road is single lane only with fretting edges and is dangerous during wet weather and peak harvest periods. The prime reason for upgrade is safety.Clear and widen to 12 m drain width, improve drainage where required. Widen unsealed shoulders, stabilise, seal from 3.7 m to 7 m wide
Calvert Road (Rural – Tennant Creek) - 097673-18NT-RTR
This is the narrow 4.5 metres pavement dangerous to road trains using the road for cattle, fuel and general goods transport for stations. The widening of the pavement will reduce risk of an accident. The Calvert road is extensively used by the heavy vehicles in the support of pastoral proprieties, mining and aboriginal communities and is used as an alternative route to Queensland.Widen 9 kilometres of pavement, 2 metres each side, between chainage 131.48 to 140.48 kilometres.
Old Humbert River Station Access Road (Katherine - Rural Local) - 098051-18NT-RTR
Humbert River Access road is the main access to the Yarralin community. It is very old formed and unsafe road where lot of near misses reported in the past. The surface requires resheeting as it is exposing rocks and natural surface.Form and gravel resheet from chainage 5.0 to 8.0 kilometres.
Tahara Road in Paschendale. - 052564-14VIC-RTR
Seal of road has worn, seal is oxidised and is failing.Resealing the surface of the road.
Finke Road (Rural Local - Alice Springs) - 097669-18NT-RTR
Finke Road is a major access for Finke Community and connects cattle stations with Stuart Highway. There are numerous sandy blowouts, rough and corrugated sections and the road is closed for several days in wet season.Reform and gravel resheet and reinstate floodways between chainage 137 to 146 kilometres.
Nutwood Downs Propacc Road (Rural - Katherine) - 097765-18NT-RTR
There are five sections of Nutwood Downs Propacc road where bulldust becoming worst. The road also requires replacement of safety signage at all gates. There was a crash in 2018 that caused an injury.Gravel re-sheet five worst bulldust sections (each roughly 500 metres in length) and install safety signs at all gates.
Barkly Stock Route (Rural - Tennant Creek) - 097672-18NT-RTR
The Barkly Stock Route is extensively used by heavy vehicle in the support of pastoral proprieties on the Barkly Tablelands. The stock route is black soil with 93% gravel. The black soil formed section is below natural surface level, out of shape and is impassable during the wet season. This section restricts delivery of fuel, store supplies to pastoral proprieties and prevent the movement of cattle when market conditions are most appropriate. Over $30 million of cattle are transported across the Barkly Stock Route each year. The reforming and gravel resheeting of ch. 105 to 117 kilometres section will improve accessibility. Also this section is the continuation of gravel resheeting from Chainage 105 kilometres from last R2R project.Reform and gravel resheet 12 kilometres from chainage 105 to 117 kilometres.
