Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Seal worn back to road base. Resealed.Remove failing seal. Built up with road base and sealed with 2 coats.
Alford Road, Charters Towers - 121613-22QLD-RTR
Surface stripped. Asset at end of life causing increasing damages to pavement.surface patching and reseal.
Diggers Lane, Goroke - 052762-14VIC-RTR
This is a rural road which is to be upgraded to a sealed road in line with the council plan of sealing higher usage rural roads. The road surface is rough and uneven with poor drainage. The upgrade will provide a shorter route for trucks carting farm produce. At present heavy vehicles are not permitted to use this road for through travel.The section of road will be constructed for a total length of 1600m. The existing surface will have pavement material added to give an overall pavement width of 6m. The surface will be prepared and sealed with bitumen for a width of 5.5m A final wearing sealed surface will be applied in March 2016 on the road for a length of 1600m and a width of 5.5m to protect the road formation from water, provide drainage and create a non skid surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $462,000
Fanning Downs Road, Dotswood -Rural Road - 121604-22QLD-RTR
Sealed section - surface is stripped. Asset at end of life and therefore, increased risk to pavement damages. Unsealed section - missing link that results in repetitive damages, road safety issues with large scouring after wet weather. Sealing the remaining missing link improves asset maintenance requirements.Surface patching and resealing of sealed sections. Heavy grade unsealed section to shape existing pavement, import base material for overlay then seal.
Lake Mealup Road - 122003-22WA-RTR
the existing road pavement seal is narrow, degraded and potholedit is proposed to widen and resheet with new gravel and improve the existing roadside drainage
Infrastructure Investment Program Strategic Review
The Australian Government commissioned an Independent Strategic Review of the Infrastructure Investment Program in May 2023 (the Review).
Fish Point Road (Rural Road) - 122024-22VIC-RTR
Road Widening - this section of road is a classed as a Collector road with a narrow pavement seal and poor condition. As part of a renewal project the road will be widened to meet service requirement of a Collector road and meet the needs of surrounding high yield industries (cotton, tomoatoes and a dairy processing plant).Widening of pavement and seal from a 4.2m wearing course to a 6.2m wearing course with 2m shoulders
Bannaby Road, (rural road) - 122008-22NSW-RTR
Poor roadside drainage and rutting and shifting of the road surface and the loss of gravel surface which contributes to the poor wearing surface.Works proposed to be undertaken for this project is to heavy patch 0.4 km of the road. This will involve drainage improvements and excavation, importing, spreading, shaping and compacting gravel and applying a bituminous seal.
Pennsylvania Road (Rural Road) - 121585-22NSW-RTR
Broken timber girders and poor condition of bridge deck.Replace two broken girders and replace the timber deck.
