Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Crawford Street, Richmond - 124316-23QLD-RTR
Crawford Street is the Road Train access route from the Flinders Highway to the Richmond to Croydon Road. Over 100,000 head of cattle are transported on this road every year and there are structural failures in the road.To replace current seal on both sides of the street. Total coverage will be 3 sections, 1.2km long each section. This will ensure the road has a longer life than the current 5 years.Total cost of proposed project is $1,000,000

Leeches Creek Road, (Rural Road) - 052894-14NSW-RTR
The existing bitumen seal which is only 4m in width is approximately 20 years old and is starting to break up, causing pavement potholes, shoving of the outer wheel paths & edge break, reducing the pavement width to around 3m in some locations.Correct any defects, pothole/shoves, maintenance grade the shoulders, import gravel to reshape the shoulders where necessary, then bitumen reseal to a width of 6m using 14mm aggregate.

Clayton Road, Williams (Rural Road) - 124352-23WA-RTR
Widening of the formation and seal started in 2016-17 and was completed in 2022-23. It is now proposed to commence a reseal program to extend the useful life of the pavement.Reseal 7.0m wide for 2.50kms from Straight line kilometre 0.00 to 2.50.
Tarwonga Dardadine Road, Williams (Rural Road) - 124353-23WA-RTR
Improvements are required to widen the road for heavy vehicles and in doing so reduce the safety risk for passing vehicles on narrow sections. It is proposed to clear vegetation, within the maintenance zone, improve roadside drainage and widen the road formation and culvert structures.
