Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Old pavement and seal has failed showing pavement rutting and shoving with significant patching, which requires high maintenance resources.Reconstruction of pavement and seal for length of approximately 200 metres with width of 8-10 metres including excavation and replacement of unsuitable subgrade and reconstruction of Skinner Street intersection.Total cost of proposed project is $252,641

Floodway is unsafe to travel at speed and regularly damaged requiring increasing maintenance Reconstruct box culverts and establish and construct gabion floodway, redesign road curve to allow for high speed trafficability and cement stabilize the approaches to reduce flood event scouring.
Keary Road, Charters Towers - 125287-23QLD-RTR
Urban road classification that is unsealed within the Charters Towers township have been identified to be at a sealed road level of service. This is due to the traffic volume and accessibility requirements to these road classifications. Upgrading this section of road from an unsealed to a sealed road will improve all weather access to properties, reduce dust nuisance to properties and reduce maintenance costs long term for council.150mm road base installed over existing gravel road and sealed with two coat seal.
Milner Road, Charters Towers - 125288-23QLD-RTR
Improved all weather access. Currently, the creek crossing through Sheep Station Creek on Milner Road is a natural bed crossing. After rain events this crossing is impassable until Council can undertake repair works to create a uniform and safe crossing. This project will install a bed level concrete floodway through the creek reducing maintenance costs and improving accessibility during and after wet weather.Construct a bed level concrete floodway through the creek bed, construct and seal approaches onto floodway.
Water Street, Charters Towers - 125290-23QLD-RTR
Road Pavement and kerb and channel along road are at the end of life and requiring reconstruction.Reconstruct road pavement and kerb and channel and seal over new road pavement.
Natal Downs Road, Charters Towers - 125292-23QLD-RTR
Pavement at the end of life and causing increasing maintenance costs.Reconstruct road pavement and seal.
