Council will be providing the balance of funding (Own Source Expenditure) to complete the Project.Total cost of proposed project is $1,900,000
Blunder Road, Doolandella - 127309-24QLD-RTR
The Blunder Road and Wallaroo Way intersection has been identified as a location requiring upgrade to improve and enhance safety and accessibility for all road users. Council is upgrading this intersection to improve traffic flow through the intersection and address safety concerns for people driving, walking, and riding through the area. The intersection was identified as a location requiring safety improvements with three reported crashes at the intersection between 2009 and 2018. High traffic volumes, extended wait times, and poor sightlines for vehicles travelling on Blunder Road and Wallaroo Way contributes to motorists misjudging safe gaps in the traffic when making a turn movement. The project involves installing traffic lights with pedestrian crossing facilities on Blunder Road (northern approach) and Wallaroo Way. New shared pathways on both sides of Blunder Road will enhance safety and connectivity for people walking and riding. Source of additional funding is Brisbane City Council.Total cost of proposed project is $4,381,396
Kelvin Grove Road, Red Hill - 127308-24QLD-RTR
The Kelvin Grove Road and Lower Clifton Terrace intersection has been identified as a location requiring an upgrade to improve traffic flow efficiency for all road users, reduce congestion, and enhance safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. During the afternoon peak, the intersection of Kelvin Grove Road and Lower Clifton Terrace is operating over capacity, resulting in long queues on Kelvin Grove Road. The high volume of traffic on Kelvin Grove Road and current lane configuration on Lower Clifton Terrace makes it difficult for the intersection to clear. The project will upgrade the intersection of Kelvin Grove Road and Lower Clifton Terrace by removing the signalised left turn from Lower Clifton Terrace onto Kelvin Grove Road reducing the time requirement for signal phasing thereby resulting in additional green time for Kelvin Grove Road, improving travel time reliability for motorists. The project will also involve modifications to the pedestrian crossing on Lower Clifton Terrace and change the left turn in only from Hale Street ramp to a left turn out only onto the Hale Street ramp. Source of additional funding is Brisbane City Council.
Doonguru-Gudmungun Road (Rural Road) - 053217-14QLD-RTR
The road has rough surfaces due to rutting and there is vegetation regrowth on the shoulders and table drains.Clearing of vegetation with a front end loader or grader. Grading of rough surfaces using a grader.
Wynnum Road, Tingalpa - 127306-24QLD-RTR
This intersection at Wynnum Road and Hemmant-Tingalpa Road is currently unsignalised and operates with a give way sign on Hemmant-Tingalpa Road, giving priority to motorists travelling along Wynnum Road. High traffic volumes and extended wait times experienced at the intersection contribute to motorists misjudging safe gaps in traffic when turning into and out of Hemmant-Tingalpa Road. To address safety concerns and improve travel time reliability, we are proposing to upgrade the intersection by installing traffic signals to control all movements at the intersection. To improve accessibility and connectivity for people walking and riding, we will also be installing signalised pedestrian crossings and new footpaths. The project will upgrade the Wynnum Road and Hemmant-Tingalpa Road intersection through installing new traffic lights with signalised crossing facilities, and modifying the centre traffic islands on Wynnum Road and constructing dedicated turn pockets on all approaches to the intersection to separate turning vehicles from through traffic. These changes will improve the overall operation of the intersection, making it safer and easier for all road users. Source of additional funding is Brisbane City Council, they are WH&S accredited, this has been awarded internally.

Some isolated segments of kerb and gutter also damaged, which require reconstruction.
