Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Ranger Street, Gracemere - 128248-24QLD-RTR
Existing asphalt seal has reached its asset life and requires rehabilitation.Undertake pavement repairs as required, followed by a spray seal to waterproof the surface. Farm Street, Kawana - 128249-24QLD-RTR
Existing asphalt seal has reached its asset life and requires rehabilitation.Undertake pavement repairs as required, followed by a spray seal to waterproof the surface. A final asphalt seal to be laid with line marking to follow. Jointly funded with TIDS.Total cost of proposed project is $367,600
Carnarvon-Mullewa Road (Rural Road) - 053306-14WA-RTR
The bridge was constructed in 1929 and the concrete is now fully carbonised and cannot be attributed a reliable compressive strength. As a result it is deemed beyond repair and needs to be replaced.Demolish the old bridge and construct a new single-lane bridge on the current alignment. The new bridge will be 1m higher than the existing bridge, it will have a single lane of 4.23m between barriers and the length of the bridge is 75.6m. The bridge will be constructed using Standard Main Road WA Precast concrete planks.Total cost of proposed project is $4,024,773
Sing Place, Millars Well - 128225-24WA-RTR
Road surface is exhibiting stripping of aggregates and has minor potholes.AC10 30 mm asphalt overlay.
Hollingsworth Street, Kawana - 128251-24QLD-RTR
Existing asphalt seal has reached its asset life and requires rehabilitation.Undertake pavement repairs as required, followed by a spray seal to waterproof the surface. A final asphalt seal to be laid with line marking to follow. Jointly funded with Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.Total cost of proposed project is $254,000
Richardson Road, Kawana - 128250-24QLD-RTR
Existing asphalt seal has reached its asset life and requires rehabilitation.Undertake pavement repairs as required, followed by a spray seal to waterproof the surface. A final asphalt seal to be laid with line marking to follow. Jointly funded with Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme.Total cost of proposed project is $550,000
Lewis Drive, Nickol - 128215-24WA-RTR
Road surface exhibits surface deficiencies, including stripping and polishing of aggregates, and potholesAC10 30 mm asphalt overlay.
Creightons Creek Road (Rural Road) - 128255-24VIC-RTR
The road pavement has deteriorated and shows signs of failure such as depressions, cracking and general roughness.The entire section of road pavement will be spray-sealed and appropriately sized stone applied as per Councils maintenance protocol.
Seventh Road, Armadale - 128035-24WA-RTR
Replace the surface of road sections that have reached the end of their useful life.Mill out existing defective surface and undertake asphalt resurfacing. Replace kerb for full length on both sides of road.
Memorial Drive, The Hill - 128192-24NSW-RTR
The original construction was to cut and fill for the identified section of Memorial Drive, the fill material is the support material under the road and adjacent embankment. The site has been affected from stormwater drainage runoff from the road contributing to erosion and partial embankment slip as well the non-engineered fill under the road and for supporting embankment. Proposed project is to stabilise material within road boundary and manage stormwater runoff from the road. Key objectives • Maintain existing road on key access point to City of Newcastle Support road maintenance and long term stability on bus and tourism route. • Allow for increased road loading for expansion of tourism and transport. • Reduce likelihood of road collapse and closure.Stabilisation of existing road embankment, footway and road formation through combination of retaining wall, piling, stormwater changes, kerb and gutter, reprofiling and pavement replacement and resurfacing. City of Newcastle will fund the balance.Total cost of proposed project is $3,454,725
