Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Great Western Highway – Hartley Valley Safety Works
The project involves safety upgrades to the Great Western Highway from the bottom curve of Victoria Pass in the east to the eastern end of the Forty Bends upgrade to the west.  It will include a number of intersection upgrades as well as shoulder widening and pavement works.
Doidge Street - 130321-24VIC-RTR
Surface failures including cracking and depressions of concrete baysWorks within the adjacent laneway involve, repair laneway road pavement failures and resurface of laneway road pavement within the limits. Note that this laneway is publicly accessible and is bound by Grimshaw St from the north and Morwell Avenue from the south.Total cost of proposed project is $305,209
Walkerville Terrace, Walkerville - 130241-24SA-RTR
Road condition is being improved on a key transport route through the Town of Walkerville.AC10 Road Reseal. The remaining funding in excess of the RTR contribution is funded by Council's Capital Works program as part of our 24/25 Annual Business Plan and budget.Total cost of proposed project is $164,385
Burke and Wills Track, Glenhope - 130320-24VIC-RTR
Burke and Wills Track has potholes, undulating surface, pavement failures, seal deterioration, shoulder scour, wide edge breaks, narrowing width and culvert failures. Burke and Wills Track will undergo works that incorporate drainage clearing, culvert renewal, full width and length pavement stabilisation and resealing and shoulder reinstatement. Mitchell Shire Council 2024/2025 capital budget has allocated $748,963 towards the project.
Burke St, Maryborough - 130323-24VIC-RTR
Failed pavement.New, 180 mm Asphalt Pavement plus 30 mm wearing course. As successfully completed on Burns and Christian St's previously. Allows the work to completed at night but the business area can be opened for daylight hours - keeping inconvenience to the public at a minimum. Excluding Crameri Lane intersection (currently a concrete pavement with no issues).
Kyneton Springhill Road, Springhill - 130279-24VIC-RTR
Narrow seal and poor pavement and seal condition.700 m of existing 5.5 m-wide road widened and re-constructed to a 7.6 m wide carriageway, including drainage and road safety improvements. Other source of funding is council's own sourced funds.
Baynton Road, Pastoria - 130280-24VIC-RTR
Poor condition pavement and seal, road beyond maintenance and requires rehabilitationPavement rehabilitation and sealing, includes drainage and road safety improvements
Stawell Street, Romsey - 130282-24VIC-RTR
Very poor pavement condition and asphalt seal, road beyond maintenance and requires reconstruction. Full depth road reconstruction with asphalt wearing course, drainage improvements, intersection upgrade with pedestrian safety improvements, footpath renewal within the limit of works. Out of the total project cost of $708,513 - the project will be a jointly funded by council.
Cowcher Road (Rural Road) - 130305-24WA-RTR
Gravel road surface has severely worn to the subgrade due to increase traffic volumes and heavy vehicles during seasonal harvest periods.Road will be re-sheeted with a 100 mm compacted gravel surface and roadside "V" and off chute drains reconstructed.
Laurier Road South (Rural Road) - 130307-24WA-RTR
Gravel road surface has severely worn to the subgrade due to increased traffic volumes and heavy vehicles during seasonal harvest periods. Road will be re-sheeted with a 100 mm compacted gravel surface and roadside "V" and off chute drains reconstructed.
