Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Major pavement depressions, longitudinal cracking, seal shoving and heaving in roadway caused by indifferent subgrade settlement and exacerbated by high heavy vehicle usageFull reconstruction of pavement and widening along 3.5 kilometres length of road to include wider running lanes at 3.5 metres in width and constructed sealed shoulders at 1.2 metres in width. Fivebough Road (Rural Road) - 104498-19NSW-RTR
Road safety is the major concern on this road. The existing pavement is narrow and in poor condition. This section of road is part of a bus route and also carries small volumes of heavy vehicles.Works will include the full rehabilitation of road pavement and reinstatement of a 2 coat bitumenous seal to a width of 6m. It will include required drainage upgrades and road geometric design through curves in this section of road.
Barkly Stock Route (Tennant Creek - Rural Local), - 103655-19NT-RTR
Barkly Stock Route is a major road for cattle movement to interstate. Various sections of the road are in poor condition and are bogged due to wet. The road is closed or has load restriction during and after wet season.Gravel resheet various sections between 164.4 to 164.9 kilometres.Total cost of proposed project is $282,110
Middle Creek Road, Gobur (Rural Road) - 104486-19VIC-RTR
Gravel wearing course has reached the end of its useful life. Minimal pavement material remains.Standard resheet includes: renewal of formation, tabledrains and gravel wearing course.Total cost of proposed project is $242,370
Hewletts Road, Caveat (Rural Road) - 104485-19VIC-RTR
Gravel wearing course has reached the end of its useful life, minimal pavement remainsStandard resheet, renewal of formation, tabledrains and the gravel wearing course.Total cost of proposed project is $81,049
Break O'day Road (Rural Road) - 104468-19VIC-RTR
Pavement failures requiring major patch.Works will include items requiring dig-out and treatment of underlying material as well as larger sections which will be treatment of existing material and reinstatement of sealed surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $138,945
Wilhelmina Falls Road, Murrindind i(Rural Road) - 104476-19VIC-RTR
Currently unsealed surface listed as a Rural collector class road for the majority of the remaining unsealed length. Roadway suffers damage from substantial vehicle traffic creating increased maintenance works in order to comply with the levels of service as set in the Road Management Plan.Form and construct pavement to match current design standards and seal the surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $245,763
