The project included the realignment of approximately two kilometres of the Bruce Highway on the southern approach to Gin Gin to reduce the gradient and the redesign of the Bundaberg - Gin Gin Road and Bruce Highway intersection.
New Street South, Kingsville - 138579-26VIC-RTR
Cracking has occurred at many locations along the street, and the road pavement surface is breaking up. The pavement has also lost shape with significant failures and requires full reconstruction to address failures and loss of shape and safety risk to all users. Kerb and channel have subsided along the length of street and holds water in many locations. The kerb and channel require reconstruction and new drainage installed. Works involve kerb and channel replacement, installation of new drainage and full width rehabilitation of road pavement and asphalt re-sheet to current standards. The project is not fully funded by Roads to Recovery, with the balance of budget funded by Council’s 2026/27 Capital Works Program.

Bridge Street, Uralla - 135166-25NSW-RTR
This project involves the renewal and upgrade of existing parking lanes along Bridge Street between Salisbury Street to Wood Street. The works will include rehabilitation of parking lane pavement surfaces and the application of new line markings. The existing pavement has experienced wear and deterioration from ongoing vehicle use and utilities maintenance, resulting in defects that increase maintenance requirements. Rehabilitation works will restore the pavement condition, extend the assets operational life and provide a smoother, more durable surface for road users. Following the pavement renewal, line marking will be reinstated and upgraded where required to provide clearly defined parking bays and improved traffic management outcomes. The project will enhance safety for motorists and pedestrians, support accessibility and contribute to the efficient use of on-street parking within the town centre.
