2026-27 Budget

Through the 2026–27 Budget, the Australian Government is continuing to invest in priority land transport projects that support productivity, resilience, liveability and sustainability through the Infrastructure Investment Program.

Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Castle Carey Road (Rural Road) - 131011-24VIC-RTR
The road pavement and surface has significantly deteriorated. There is substantial rutting and potholing along the road length.The road will be fully rehabilitated, including the additional of pavement material, widening, drainage and then a final seal. Council will fund a component of the project through road rehabilitation program budget Work length is 3.364 kilometres.Total cost of proposed project is $945,000
Phillips Street, Port Fairy - 130193-24VIC-RTR
The road pavement and surface has significantly deteriorated. There is substantial rutting and potholing along the road length.Pavement correction to be undertaken to rutting areas and microsurfacing being applied to the full road surface.
Childers Cove Road (Rural Road) - 130191-24VIC-RTR
The road pavement and surface has significantly deteriorated. There is substantial rutting and potholing along the road length.The road will be fully rehabilitated, including the additional of pavement material, widening, drainage and then a final seal. Council are co-funding this project from our road rehabilitation program.Total cost of proposed project is $776,591
Aire Street, Kirkstall - 130190-24VIC-RTR
Gravel road wearing due to increase of traffic and heavy vehicles. Causes dust problems when dry and slippery, boggy when wetThe road will be fully rehabilitated, including the additional of pavement material, widening, drainage and then sealed. Council are co-funding this project from our road rehabilitation program.
Lowe Street, Clovelly - 131008-24NSW-RTR
Deteriorated asphalt wearing course (potholes and cracking).40 mm mill and 40 mm fill (wearing course) and 50 mm mill and 50 mm fill (heavy patching).
Membreys Road (Rural Road) - 130192-24VIC-RTR
The road pavement and surface has significantly deteriorated. There is substantial rutting and potholing along the road length. Road is too narrow to cater for heavy vehicles resulting in vehicular conflicts.The road will be fully rehabilitated, including the additional of pavement material, widening, drainage and then a final seal. Council will fund the co-contribution for the project through its road rehabilitation program budget.Total cost of proposed project is $474,858
Walker Flat Road, Wanbi - 130924-24SA-RTR
Road has received a substantial amount of freight movements and has deteriorated proposing a potential safety concern. Walker Flat Rd carries our highest unsealed road category, proposed is to Re-sheet with crushed limestone material
Kanoona Road (Rural Road) - 131014-24NSW-RTR
The existing concrete causeway is severely cracked and potholed.Replace existing concrete structure with reinforced concrete structure.
Sunnyside Drive Evanston Park SA 5116 - 131012-24SA-RTR
Existing road surface is at the end of service life. Road surface has worn out losing its stones and bitumen binding and become rough and uneven affecting the ride ability on the road. Also, the worn out and cracked road surface does not provide water proofing to the road pavement.Renew damaged kerb and gutter sections, repair defect areas of the road pavements and resurface the roads with a new asphalt concrete layer. This is a jointly funded project and Town of Gawler provides the balance of funds for the project from its own financial resources.Total cost of proposed project is $451,236
