Dorisvale Road, Katherine - 130865-24NT-RTR
Poor road condition. Dorisvale Road is closed on an average for 54 days/year and impassable for 65 days/year due to no gravel, deteriorated pavement and poor drainage. This road services many cattle stations for cattle export and road safety is their biggest concern. Gravel resheeting.
Amanbidji Access Road, Katherine - 130851-24NT-RTR
The Amanbidji community becomes inaccessible during the wet season due to the localised flooding or saturated pavement condition due to the impassability of water. Medical services, police support and food supplies can only be delivered by air transport when the road is impassable. Upgrade 0 to 11 kilometres from formed to gravel standard.
Porch Road, Denmark, WA 6333 - 053544-14WA-RTR
Culvert has collapsedInstall new culverts
Mulga Park Road, Alice Springs - 130696-24NT-RTR
Mulga Park Road is a well used road for the cattle transport and the tourism industries and a high proportion of indigenous communities. A significant volume of traffic is triple road trains for cattle haulage, community stores and mining explorations. The road section traverses winding sand dune and rocky hill country, with numerous creek crossings and worn formation. It also has lost gravel and exposed to natural surface. In wet weather, water ponding closes the road for short to medium period. The road has been the subject to numerous near misses and accidents. Gravel Resheet from 85 to 108 kilometres.
Fountain Head Road, Darwin - 130864-24NT-RTR
The pavement and surface is very old and deteriorating with heavy cracking, high roughness and potholes. The reactive maintenance is not a value for money since the bleeding and surface wearing reoccur after maintenance. Pavement rehabilitation from 0.0 to 1.5 kilometres.
Gorrie Dry River Road, Katherine - 130787-24NT-RTR
Gorrie Dry River Road runs through the Sturt Plateau region and has several pastoral leases along the route. This region also produces hay and other growing products. The number of heavy vehicles has significantly increased over time due to increase in production on Sturt Plateau region. The unsealed road section with the jump up on Gorrie Dry River Road is a steep gradient (8% to 10% grade). Road trains have the potential to lose traction on the gravel surface and become stuck causing road block to other vehicles. Road train is required to break up each trailer resulting in trailer haulage on the jump up section that become hazardous to other road users. There are also several tight curves at the bottom of the jump up that restrict road trains to gain reasonable speed to avoid becoming stuck halfway up the jump up and trailers have potential to go over the edges. Sealing the jump up section will provide better access to heavy vehicles and eliminating road safety risk for motorists. The proposed work is to seal the jump up section from 182.5 to 182.9 kilometres.
Murray Downs Road,Tennant Creek - 130788-24NT-RTR
The road services many communities and pastoral properties. It has lost majority of its gravel material and exposed to natural surface. The road is also bogged down in wet weather and slippery due to poor drainage. Gravel resheeting to the nominated sections will provide better access for community travel and livestock movement. Gravel resheeting.
Tanami Downs Property Access Road, Alice Springs - 130866-24NT-RTR
This road serves as access road for cattle station and haulage road for mines. This project is intended to improve pavement surface condition by eradicating the existing pavement surface corrugation and roughness. Gravel resheeting selected sections between 31.0 to 52.0 kilometres.
Golton Road (Rural Road) - 131032-24VIC-RTR
Significant edge drop off due to loss of gravel on the shoulder.Resheet gravel on both shoulders to a width of 2 m on either side to enable adequate width for passing traffic.
Warrumbungles Way (Rural Road) - 131034-24NSW-RTR
Uneven existing road surface.Heavy patching.
