Project description

The project involved the construction of an additional in bound lane and road overpasses, removal of rail crossings, provision of service roads and installation of a traffic management system.

  • improving access for motorists entering and exiting the highway
  • reducing travel times
  • providing better facilities for cyclists and pedestrians

Funding

The Australian Government fully funded the project, contributing $145.2 million.

Timetable

Construction commenced in October 2011 and was completed in April 2014.
