Project description

This project upgraded the intersection of the Stuart Highway and Bicentennial Road and the intersection of the Victoria Highway and Bicentennial Road, resealing of Bicentennial Road between these two intersections was also undertaken. 

 

Benefits

The project improved pedestrian safety to meet community needs with regard to heavy vehicle traffic through the Katherine town centre.

Funding

The Australian Government contributed over $6.2 million to this project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in June 2014 and was completed in late 2015.
