Project description

The existing road is of variable width (4.5 to 5 metres wide including shoulders) and is considered narrow for the volume of traffic. The road is poorly drained and is a dust nuisance. The road carries a significant volume of truck traffic (gravel and logs) which is approximately 20%.

To reconstruct and seal 2 sections, 425 metres at the northern end near Winkleigh Road, and 1080 metres at the southern end near Frankford Road. The work proposed will widen the pavement to 7 metres including shoulders, seal gravel pavement to 6 metres wide and improve drainage.
