Project description

The project involved the duplication of approximately 10.4 kilometres of Tiger Brennan Drive from Dinah Beach Road to Berrimah Road and upgrades to six intersections.

Benefits

The upgrade aimed to increase capacity and reduce congestion to provide consistent driving conditions on Tiger Brennan Drive.

Funding

The Australian Government contributed $70 million towards the upgrade in partnership with the Northern Territory Government.

Timetable

Construction commenced on the first section in July 2013, with the road opening to traffic in mid-2016. Minor finishing works were completed Mid-2017.
