Project description

The intersection is utilised by many heavy vehicles including B-doubles, serving the agricultural and horticultural industries and also acts as a northern by-pass for the city of Griffith. Traffic safety is compromised by the narrow intersection with restricted turning movements, drainage and other services present.

To develop and construct a T-intersection to facilitate roadtrains and improve traffic safety by widening the culvert and road pavement for a length of approx 60m on each leg of the intersection. Works include drainage improvements and extension of culverts, relocation of power pole, streetlight and other services, construction, widening and sealing of pavement.

Total cost of proposed project is $310,818
