Project description

Yerra Rd, Mungar is a rural road which provides a major rural collector function in the rural area south-west of Maryborough. It connects the Maryborough/Biggenden Road through to Mungar Road (both State Controlled Roads), and carries quarry trucks year round and cane trucks during the sugar cane harvest season. Due to the increasing heavy vehicle usage on this road the pavement consistently has failures. These pavement failures are a result of inadequate pavement depth, width and poor drainage.

This project is for augmentation of a section of Yerra Road including optimising the vertical and horizontal alignment and speed environment, pavement upgrade design, service locations, survey and geotechnical investigation. The typical width will be a 9 metre seal on a 9 metre pavement.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,200,000
