Project description

The project involves safety works to improve visibility, construct new turning lanes and guard rails, upgrade intersections and drainage and improve line markings to sections of the D'Aguilar Highway.

Benefits

The improvements made the highway safer and reduced crash rates.

Funding

The Australian Government contributed $15.8 million to the project.

Timetable

The project commenced major construction in October 2015 and was completed in October 2016. Additional works for the delivery of a second overtaking lane between Chambers Road and Peterson Road as well as additional safety improvements were completed in January 2019.
