Project description

This project included realignment and widening of approximately 2.1 kilometres of the New England Highway at Bolivia Hill, near Tenterfield, including construction of a 320 metre long bridge.

Benefits

The project has improved safety as well as increased productivity of freight movements along the New England Highway.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed up to $98.0 million to this project.

Timetable

The project commenced in May 2018 and opened to traffic in September 2021. All construction works on site were completed in October 2021.
