Project description

The project will address the traffic congestion issue due to the large volume of vehicles turning right onto the Great Western Highway from Castlereagh Road, by amplifying the existing road network.

Benefits

The project will improve traffic flow by removing the traffic bottleneck at the Mulgoa Road/High Street intersection.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $72.5 million towards the project.

Timetable

Work started in December 2018 with the project open to traffic in June 2021.
