Rare and endangered Arid Bronze Azure Butterfy colony in old road alignment vicinity Department of Regulation and Department of Parks and Wildlife stopped work for last 6 years and new road alignment away from A class Reserve where butterfly colony found. Problem being fixed is poor intersection sight lines and narrow sealed pavement section, State Blackspot project previous road accidents history

Full construction of New Road alignment 2.7 kilometre road section, Construct a new 4 way intersection @ straight line kilometre 6.04.Installation of two culverts. Measured from start point straight line kilomtre 0.00 Shadbolt Street Mukinbudin

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
