Project description

Tyabb-Tooradin Road is a local arterial road that provides secondary access to Port of Hastings. It carries a significant volume (over 10%) of heavy vehicles. There is a major culvert that is failing and the Shire has received structural engineering advice that the bridge is no longer suitable for heavy vehicles. The bridge is also narrower than the surrounding road pavement. The culvert needs replacement in order to be able to service heavy vehicles again.

Reconstruct culvert, including widening to allow continuation of sealed shoulders, in order to be able to service heavy vehicles using the route.

Total cost of proposed project is $550,000
