Project description

Reading Street Cul-de-sac, adjacent to Bunbury Primary School, requires widening to allow for safe vehicle and pedestrian access. Works have recently taken place in Lovegrove Avenue on the eastern side of Bunbury Primary School as part of the School Frontage Program. Further works are required on the western side of Bunbury Primary School to improve saftey for vehicles and pedestrians.

Cul-de-sac widening to allow for safe vehicle access adjacent to Bunbury Primary School. Widening of road requiring box out of area, new road base, new kerbing and bituminous concrete. A retaining wall is also required and the reinstatement of existing driveways.

Total cost of proposed project is $27,623

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
