Project description

The bitumen seal is less than 6 metres wide. B double trucks and semi-trailers are punched onto the gravel road shoulder when passing other traffic. The road shoulders have scoured and hold water which has soaked under the sealed carriage way. The outer section of the carriageway has deformed.

Remove existing bitumen seal and stabilise the base course to a depth of 250 millimetres. Widen road formations to a minimum of 4.5 metres from the centre line. Bitumen seal road to a width of 7 metres. Replace guide posts and signs.
