Project description

Roadway is narrow with ad-hoc parking arrangements contibuting to slow traffic flow through this section. Addition of a new school to the west and recent residential development have added more traffic. Faunce Street falls away to the north and lack of kerb & gutter on that side has led to drainage issues for several properties.

Reconstruct the pavement 350 metres in length and approximately 7 metres in width. Provide kerb & gutter and footpath on the northern side , with additional stormwater drainage. Construct low level masonary retaining wall where necessary. Provide right-angle parking (23 spaces) on the southern side.

Total cost of proposed project is $700,000
