Project description
The current road has problems with its current configuration. This includes wide traffic lanes of 7 metres with no physical delineation which leads to cars overtakng each other along the road, poor road lighting, limited drainage infrastructure resulting in traffic hazards associated with local flooding, high number of pavement defects resulting in a high level of surface roughnessUpgrade of 0.775 kilometres of Peachey Road which consists of resconstruction of the existing road, upgrade of road lighting to category V5, provision of kerb protuberances, on street parking and pavement marking. New kerbing will be provided to improve drainage, in addition to improvement of the stormwater system to cater for road runoff. Construction of new wider footpaths on either side of peachey Road and landscaping of road verges and medians.
