Project description

Poor drainage, ponding of water issues and pavement failure, resulting with potholes and pavement damage along length of Wallace street, including intersection with Attwood street.

Wallace street full width reconstruction, to include lifting pavement profile, to increase runoff, and ensure profile ties in with Attwood street intersection for 30 mtrs. Verge drainage to be reconstructed to match improved Longitudinal grade of road.

The Gardens Road (Alice Springs Rural Road) - 059887-15NT-RTR

The Gardens Road services the pastoral, tourism, mining and indigenous community industries. The nearby Alice Springs to Darwin road rail crossing is currently being upgraded to 2 lane 7m wide seal, finishing at the existing narrow non-standard, single lane grid. The upgrade of the grid and drainage is a safety issue.It is proposed to raise the grid to allow drainage to occur, widen the grid to standard 9.6 metre width, raise the road approaches and build fence on both sides of the grid for traffic safety.
