Project description

Arltunga Road is a significant tourist and cattle station road providing access to three large cattle stations and several small indigenous communities. The road is also well used by mining & exploration crews. Arltunga Road is also part of the Binns Track providing a 4WD experience for tourism. The road is currently experiencing very dry conditions, with very high road train usage for cattle transport. This heavy vehicle traffic has caused numerous sections of road to deteriorate into sand deep bull-dust.

Reform and gravel resheet and drainage improvements between chainage 20 to 32 kilometre
