Project description

To address the structural integrity of the road pavement due to soil movement from very reactive soil and there are some drainage concerns. This road has a severe environmental deformation and cracking with moderate load induce cracking. Surface texture has a severe defect. Council's Pavement Management System has indicated that this road is warranted for total road reconstruction.

The work will involve a full road reconstruction by total excavation of road base and replacement with a deeper granular pavement to ensure the structure and integrity of the road from possible future soil movement. These work will involve replacing existing kerbs, driveway, traffic control and improving the drainage system. The road pavement being treated is 175m in length and 9m in width
