Project description

This project upgraded Erskine Park Road & Peppertree Drive Intersection.

Benefits

The project: Enhanced the regional road link between the new Airport and Regional Centre of Penrith Enhance the regional road link between the new Airport at Badgerys Creek and M4 Motorway Improved traffic flow Reduce or eliminate the number of crashes Improve the efficiency of signalised intersections by increasing right turn and left turn capacity and widening intersection approaches Manage congestion and reducing delays to all traffic modes including to heavy vehicles Increase amenity for local residents with better traffic flow, enhanced safety and better access between residential precincts and the arterial road network

Funding

The Australian Government increased its funding commitment from $17.2 million to $20.3 million towards this project.

Timetable

Construction commenced in late 2018 and was completed in mid-2021.
