Project description

This segment of road has a steep cutting adjacent to the travel lane, shale type loose stone on the face of the cutting increase the chance of rocks rolling onto the road and disrupting traffic flow, this work also reduces the high maintenance burden on this road.

The proposed works consist of a combination of treatment measures, these include the regrading of the slope, shotcrete or spray concrete applied to the the steep section, reno- mattress (rock filled mesh) and Geo-Web applied to some sections.

Total cost of proposed project is $650,000
