Project description

Section of road suject to high use of heavy vehicles associated with regional mining operations. Curves identified as having sub-standard horizontal & vertical alignments, superelevation, pavement width and sight distances. Substandard road parameters creating unsafe conditions for the travelling public.

Widening of road pavement to 9.0m formation width with 8.0m bitumen seal, including adjustments to horizontal & vertical alignments. Superelevation correction, signage and localised concrete edge restraints where vertical alignment in sag creating a floodway situation.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,658,000
