Project description

190m long section of road in a sealed causeway with existing 8 x 1200 RCP culverts on a main waterway channel at chainage 2.40. Causeway sealed width is 2 traffic lane 7.0m, existing culvert is single traffic lane 5.5m width. Narrowing of pavement across culvert in this causeway creates a hazard to the travelling public, particularly during flood events when pavement is overtopped and obscured by flood waters.

Extend existing 8 x 1200 RCP's including new concrete headwalls and apron to facilitate pavement widening overtop. Construct unbound pavement widening with bitumen seal to provide consistent 7.0m sealed carriageway width through full length of causeway.
