Project description

Urban roads within the township of Thargomindah have inadequate drainage with stormwater from heavy rainfall ponding across roadways and footpaths throughout town during heavy rainfall. Ponded water causes a safety hazard to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic through town.

Council has a staged plan to install a drainage network throughout the Thargomindah Township. Stage 1 includes construction of a trunk drain line on Gilmour St, including gully traps, pavement and concrete kerb and channel works.

Total cost of proposed project is $398,311
