Project description

Collinsvale Road is a rural road and carries traffic between Glenorchy and Collinsvale. This section of Collinsvale Road was constructed in 1974 and is at the end of its useful service life. Collinsvale Road between the Collinsvale Primary School and Hall Road has proportionally high pedestrian movement activities due to the Collinsvale Primary School. However, there is not a formal footpath along the road. This issue puts people, particularly students, at a higher risk of accidents when using the existing pathway along Collinsvale Road. Road widening is required for the installation of footpath on the eastern side of the road. Installation of kerb & channel on both side of the road and some stormwater works will be included to the works.

Road widening including excavation and replacement of road pavement and new sealed surfacing. Construction of footpath, Kerb & channel, driveways and minor stormwater infrastructure in the area of works.

Total cost of proposed project is $571,054
