Project description

This road is currently in an extremely poor, unsealed state. The soil has a very high clay content and as such, as soon as Council grades the road to repair potholes and rutting, the road becomes extremely slippery in the wet. Due to skidding, the road then degrades quickly back to its original state of potholes and rutting.

Complete rectification of roadside drainage in this 1km section. Road base will be applied to the road, shaped effectively and compacted. Soon after, a robust two-coat 20/10 seal will be applied to the road to solve the consistent maintenance problems in this area.
