Project description

Tweedale Street is an Urban Link road where the existing sealed road pavement, which is 87 metres long by 8 metres wide between verges, with a 6.4 metre wide seal has failed. The road surface is rutted and heaved and has deteriorated along with the shoulders of the road.

The existing pavement is to be removed between the existing verges and replaced with a new deeper 450 mm deep pavement and the road surface bitumen sealed to 8 metres to provide a level safe surface in the urban environment. Kerb upgrade works will be undertaken and the total road pavement between kerbs will be 8 metres width.
